Hello! My name is Dr. Madeline Bass. I graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2020 with my bachelor’s in Animal Science. During my undergraduate degree, I spent time doing small ruminant research at Louisiana Tech and cattle research with Texas A&M in Overton, Texas. In addition, I enjoyed serving as President of Louisiana Tech Block and Bridle Club. At the time I was not doing research, I was a technician at Cooper Veterinary Hospital. I spent four amazing years earning my veterinary degree at Texas A&M University, spending time with all species, but focusing on our food animals like cattle, goats, sheep, pigs and even poultry!
I now reside in Downsville, Louisiana with my husband, Colby. My house is nothing short of a zoo and consists of a Basset Hound named “Owen,” a pig named “Magnolia,” chickens, quail, and a duck named “Quackers.” I have a special place in my heart for the food animals and exotics, and always look forward to the challenge they present. That being said, I thoroughly enjoy seeing all our adorable patients and seeing their loved ones who have become like my family too.
